It’s that time of year again! Transitioning to a new school year can be an emotional time. That’s especially true now, since the last few school years have been so full of changes and interruptions. To help prepare, review your schedule and make a plan for your first day. Be patient as you adjust, and open up to friends and family about how you’re feeling. Remember that your teachers are there to help you. Help yourself by setting up a study space at home, and by adopting a growth mindset, the belief that with practice and hard work, you can get better. Stay open to making new friends and joining new clubs. And be mindful of how you’re feeling—practicing self-care and talking to a trusted adult can help ease anxiety or nerves.
