Summer is approaching, and our hope is that reading is somewhere on the list of fun activities you and your family have planned! To make reading during the summer even more fun, the Primary Library is offering a variety of summer reading activities . You can read (or listen) to a book/magazine on Sora, listen to a podcast, or even take part in a virtual summer camp adventure.
Students are also invited to take part in our “Summer Reading Bingo.” How many of the reading challenges can you complete over the holidays? Just download and print one of our Summer Reading Bingo Sheets from the Primary Library website.

I confess, I spent many–perhaps too many–nights this summer standing around in dark fields repeatedly photographing fireflies. Now, as the nights grow cooler and the firefly season is behind us, I decided I’d look back by stringing together all my images from this summer’s campaign and roughly edit them to music to create a frenetic little firefly compilation movie.

The 1st one said, “Detective Mysteries are my fave!” The 2nd one said, “Poetry, Poetry is what I crave.” The 3rd one said, “I love magic and fantasy where people fly!” The 4th one said, “Non-Fiction books answer questions, who, what, where or why?” The 5th one said, “I have a joke to tell. I’m sure it will crack you up as well.” Then they all had a laugh and turned to their books with a smile, And the Five Curious Readers kept reading all the while.
