The annual inter-scholastic competition, 'The Battle of the Books (BoB)' is a popular annual reading competition for SGIS (Swiss Group of Int'l Schools) Middle School students. Now in its 16th year, BoB is an exciting and fun reading incentive programme designed to encourage students to read quality literature. Grade 6 to 8 students can sign-up in teams with 3-4 to take part. Participation involves reading the assigned 8 books as a team and then competing against other internal and external teams by answering questions about the books. Students will receive more information in grade-level meetings and in the English classes. The Secondary library team is looking forward to a successful competition as the inter-school competition will be hosted at ICS this year.
