Persian pottery or Iranian pottery refers to the pottery works made by the artists of Persia (Iran) and its history goes back to early Neolithic Age (7th millennium BCE). It's also related to the Mesopotamia civilization. The area known as Mesopotamia in ancient times was between the two rivers, the Tigris and Euphrates. If you consider the present geographical scenario, the region consists of much of Iran, Iraq, parts of Syria, Lebanon and Israel. More here
